Harney County Migratory Bird Festival

484 N Broadway

Burns, OR 97720

Festival Location

The Festival is held in Harney County in Southeast Oregon. The landscape is a combination of wet meadows, cattail and bulrush wetlands, sagebrush uplands, juniper covered slopes and ponderosa pine forest. Ranching practices on wet meadows in the Harney Basin enhance spring habitat for waterfowl, geese, sandhill cranes and shorebirds passing through the Basin during spring migration on the Pacific Flyway.
